Many times during our holidays we look for an opportunity to become one with nature, to wake up amidst the green of the trees, listening to the sounds of birds and gazing at the blue of the sea. We found all this at the stone-built villa of Captain Michalis or otherwise Captain Mike's Villa in Sivota!

The view we saw as soon as we arrived left us speechless! To our right we saw the famous beach of Bella Vraka and the islets of Agios Nikolaos, Mourtos, Megalo and Mikro Mourtemeno. Opposite was the southern part of Corfu and to the left were Paxos and Antipaxos! Half of the Ionian Sea at our feet!
On the huge veranda-yard of the house you will find plenty of shade to enjoy your breakfast with a view, but also sunny spots for your much-needed sunbathing. The tranquility of nature will captivate you… In the evening, the soft lights of the veranda will accompany you to your cocktail, when you will listen to your favorite music or read the novel that excited you.
The interior of the villa could not fail to be in harmony with the external environment. Stone dominates the walls and floor, while the various decorative elements (portholes, lanterns, trunks, etc.) demonstrate the owners' seafaring spirit and their love for the sea.
The house consists of a large bedroom with a double bed and another single bed, a second bedroom with two single beds, a living room, a kitchen and a bathroom, exactly what a family needs for a comfortable stay.
Stavros (the owner) is always available for anything you need, while before your arrival at the place he will prepare a useful guide with all the information about Sivota and the surrounding area. He will inform you about where to eat, where to find the best beaches, he will tell you stories about what the settlement was like in the past, he will talk to you about his father Captain Michalis and how he built a warehouse that slowly evolved into the villa you see and much more.
I saved the best for last! The most beautiful beach in the area is located almost below the villa. In about three minutes walk you will find yourself on a wonderful beach, which few people know about and the chance of finding one even in the middle of the season is very small.
